Hybrid Coat
Hybrid Coat is a single-bottle light-curing coating material for exposed dentin. It seals and protects the adhesive interface between tooth structure and resin composite or indirectly fabricated restorations. Hybrid Coat is also suitable for coating tooth surfaces that have suffered attrition and wear. It contains 4-META*, a high performance adhesive monomer that decalcifies tooth substrate and penetrates through the smear layer to form a hybrid layer. This layer forms a fortified resin coat on dentin, which blocks mechanical and biological stimuli to dentin-pulp-complex.
*4-methacryloxyethyl trimellitate anhydride
- The thin but robust film of Hybrid Coat eliminates post-op sensitivity and secondary caries.
- The thin bonding layer results in esthetic margins, ideal for anterior filling.
- Hybrid Coat penetrates the tooth to form a hybrid layer and leaves the surface protective. The high-quality hybrid layer blocks both mechanical and chemical stimuli to dentin-pulp complex.
- The unique activator in the Coat Sponge enhances the polymerization even in the presence of humidity.
