GC Tooth Mousse
Water based, sugar free dental topical crème containing Recaldent™ CPP-ACP (Casein Phosphopeptide – Amorphous Calcium Phosphate)
Recaldent™ is derived from the milk protein, casein. For many years it has been known that milk and its derivatives have a tooth protective effect. Recently, research has shown that this activity is due to a part of the casein protein called Casein Phosphopeptide (or CPP), which carries calcium and phosphate ions 'stuck' to it, in the form of Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (or ACP). This complex of CPP-ACP (Recaldent™) is an ideal delivery system for bio-available calcium and phosphate ions.
The first product for professional use that contains Recaldent™ technology is GC Tooth Mousse. GC Tooth Mousse incorporating Recaldent™ promises to make an important contribution to protecting the oral environment in a wide range of situations where a mineral imbalance may arise.

Luscent Anchors
Fiberglass Resin Anchors
For strong aesthetic anchorage of dental cohesive restorations. One-Step procedure for simultaneously curing adhesives and composites within the confines of canals creates a mono-bloc strength anchor-core support.
Dentatus Luscent Anchors
The one-stop effective procedure for curing composites within the confines of canals providing anchorage and flawless aesthetics
- Transmits polymerizing light within the confines of canals
- Provides a one-stop core anchor foundation with all restorative materials
- Reflects natural hues for flawless aesthetic restorations
- Visible radiolucency in canal and through the core materials
- Available in 6 diameters to fit very slim and very large canals
The resin reinforced fiberglass Luscent Anchors fulfill dentistry’s preference for very strong, non-metallic posts that are consistent with adhesive practice and procedures. The anchors can be placed in large and the smallest canals with conventional adhesive techniques and materials to support the core foundation and aesthetic restorations.
The radiolucent anchors, homogeneously attached to the canal and core material, transmit the tooth color without being visible under most adverse light conditions. They also provide a sound core-crown gingival interface radiating natural color through soft and hard tissues surrounding teeth.
The Luscent Anchor
Radiograph of three different diameters of the light-transmitting Luscent Anchors.
Restoring endodontically compromised teeth with fiber-reinforced light-transmitting anchors
Certainly one of the most challenging aspects of restorative dentistry is the esthetic restoration of the endodontically treated tooth. In the past, focus has been on the search for the best methods to achieve clinical success based on the post itself. Currently, evidence points to the deficiency of focusing on the type of posts and materials rather than considering the post-core complex in function.
Although teeth flex in function, the ultimate restoration in its totality should create an integrally sealed unit that does not yield, bend, or flex. Extreme impact forces should be absorbed by the periodontal complex, and the internal structures of the root should be reinforced to resist fracture.
Luscent Anchors Fulfill all the Criteria
With the introduction of the Luscent Anchor past technical compromises are eliminated. The anchors transilluminate light, are easy to use, and offer significant benefits in radiolucency, retention, and superb esthetics. Endodontic treatment compromises the strength of the tooth. The Luscent Anchor combines strong fiberglass rods encapsulated in a resin matrix that transmits light within the confines of the canal. A benefit of the translucent anchor is that it can be used with dual-cure resins and bonding techniques, which allow sufficient time for exact centering and seating of the anchor, as well as a complete fill of the composite inside the canal. The Luscent Anchor integrally bonded to the composite core/crown complex provides durable support with natural background hues for esthetic restorations.

MI Paste® & MI Paste Plus®
MI Paste and MI Paste Plus are the only products for professional use containing the active ingredient RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP), a special milk-derived protein that has a unique ability to release bio-available calcium and phosphate (and fluoride in MI Paste Plus) to tooth surfaces. When it comes to maintaining a healthy smile, these key ingredients can make a big difference in overall health.
MI Paste Plus offers the same benefits of MI Paste, but is enhanced with a patented form of fluoride (900 ppm). MI Paste and MI Paste Plus are safe and easy-to-use both in office and at-home. They are both available in five delicious flavors: melon, mint, strawberry, tutti-frutti and vanilla.
Choose MI Paste and MI Paste Plus with RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP):
- Relieves tooth sensitivity
- Does not irritate dry mouths
- Provides a topical coating for patients suffering from sensitivity and oral mucosa
- Helps minimize tooth sensitivity before and after professional cleaning and tooth whitening
What is the difference between MI Paste & MI Paste Plus?
MI Paste does not contain fluoride and is recommended for children under six years of age and pregnant women.
MI Paste Plus offers the same great benefits of regular MI Paste; it is enhanced with a patented form of fluoride.
- MI Paste and MI Paste Plus contain RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP); Casein Phosphopeptide (CPP) are natural occurring molecules which are able to release calcium and phosphate ions and stabilize Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP), which is also the source of calcium and phosphate
- RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP) is a special milk-derived protein that can help decrease dentin hypersensitivity
- MI Paste and MI Paste Plus with RECALDENT (CPP-ACP) adheres easily to soft tissue, pellicle, plaque and even hydroxyapatite; they react similar to the mineral/statherin relation in saliva supplying bio-available calcium and phosphate (and also fluoride in MI Paste Plus) required for supersaturation to take place1,2
- MI Paste supplies calcium and phosphate needed for patients with poor saliva flow; this situation can be further augmented by elevating the level of fluoride (by using MI Paste Plus, which has fluoride)

MI Varnish
MI Varnish with RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP) enhances enamel acid resistance and boosts salivary fluoride levels. This product remains on the teeth longer than other fluoride varnishes and contains high levels of fluoride and calcium released in the oral cavity. The difference is in the RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP), which makes MI Varnish a natural and unique choice for your patients. Casein phosphopeptides (CPP) naturally occurs in milk casein; Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP), which is found in the RECALDENTâ„¢, is also the source of calcium and phosphate. In the oral cavity, CPP binds to oral surfaces such as teeth, dentin, oral mucosa and biofilm. Calcium and phosphate ions are the building blocks for healthy teeth and MI Varnish delivers bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions into the saliva.
- Higher fluoride, calcium and phosphate ions released due to the RECALDENTâ„¢ (CPP-ACP) technology (FIG 2)
- Reduces sensitivity by sealing and penetrating dentinal tubules effectively blocking out external stimuli
- Flows easily into interproximal areas due to its low viscosity
- Non-clumping, white, natural translucent shade
- Excellent retention – stays on longer than the leading varnishes
- Unique unit dose, easy to open, easy to access varnish
- Generous volume per unit dose; enough for a full adult dentition
- Does not immediately clump upon exposure to saliva, allowing ease of use and longer working time
- Greater fluoride contact time and increased calcium and phosphate bioavailability than gels, foams and other varnishes
- Stands out on tray, easy to identify – brightly colored unit dose
