Quick and easy operations
Planmeca Compact™ i Classic can be equipped with either balanced instrument arms, or hanging tube instruments. Its basic instrumentation covers all necessary instruments, including an integrated electric micromotor, electric scaler, LED polymerisation light and intraoral camera.
All instrument adjustments can be performed conveniently from the dental unit keyboard. As is the case with other Planmeca dental units, Planmeca Compact i Classic is equipped with a multifunctional foot control for chair, unit and instrument control.
Optimised ergonomics
The functional design and carefully selected features of Planmeca Compact i Classic guarantee a smooth workflow and an excellent working position.
Durable aluminium console
The dental unit keyboard is integrated in the new and robust aluminium console. As surface material, aluminium is very durable and tolerates well disinfectants used in the dental clinic.
Predefined instrument range
Planmeca Compact i Classic is offered with a predefined instrument range. It covers all basic instruments including seamlessly integrated electric micromotors. All instrument adjustments can be done conveniently from the dental unit keyboard. The instrumentation can also be extended with electric scaler, LED polymerisation light and intraoral camera.
Functional design
The side-lifting chair and small cuspidor base maximize the legroom for both the dentist and assistant. The lean and narrow backrest design provides an excellent access to the patient’s mouth.
Excellent patient comfort
The dental unit comes with a manual headrest and fixed legrest. The double articulated headrest allows comfortable positioning of the patient’s head. Due to the smooth headrest length adjustment, the chair can be easily adapted for different-sized patients. The chair with fixed legrest provides excellent patient comfort and uniform upholstery.

Easy patient positioning
Open patient positioning and side entry minimize errors caused by incorrect patient positioning, allowing you to monitor the patient freely from both the front and side. Side entry allows easy access for all patients – standing or seated. Patient positioning is assisted by our triple laser beam system, which indicates the correct anatomical positioning points.
Autofocus – for perfect panoramics every time
The unique Autofocus feature automatically positions the focal layer using a low-dose scout image of the patient’s central incisors. Landmarks in the patient’s anatomy are used to calculate placement, enabling practically error-free patient positioning and dramatically reducing the need for retakes. The result is the perfect panoramic image, every time.
Optional imaging programs
Planmeca ProOne® offers you a wide variety of imaging programs for different radiographic needs. You can also select the correct exposure formats to minimize the radiation dose for all types of patients and diagnostic purposes.
